The following excerpt is from the self help
psychology book, Be Your Own Therapist.
Banning in Boston does seem remote, given modern Boston and
this chapter's lack of sexual content. Nevertheless, there are
many powerful interest groups who might prefer that you skipped
this chapter: politicians, doctors, lawyers, insurance
companies, the cultural elite, clergy, hospitals, funeral
directors, also many organizations that are politically and
socially correct. Why? All the above organizational groups might
lose money and power if many of us changed in ways suggested by
this chapter. The results of much improved happiness and
autonomy for each of us (black, white, straight, gay, male or
female) might not be appreciated by the above interest groups!

As noted above, this chapter has the potential for more
resulting happiness from less effort than any other chapter in
this book. Wouldn't you like to gain some serenity about things
like severe trauma, debilitating injuries and death? Wouldn't
you prefer to be less concerned with materialistic worries?
Wouldn't you prefer to feel safe, rather than terrorized?
