FOLLOW YOUR OWN YELLOW BRICK ROAD

There is no right or wrong way to use this book. In fact, there are many choices available to you. There is no need to go page-by-page from beginning to end, though that is a likely choice for many. If that approach appeals to you, fine! But allow yourself to change your method if that feels more appropriate later. If one of your important growth goals is to be more creative and spontaneous, then do not follow the straight path from the first page to the last. Instead, find your own path, one that is just as suitable and distinctly more fun.

Anger is ALWAYS beased upon unfulfilled expectations; fully let go of the expecting, and your anger will be no more.

I suggest that you allow yourself to drop this book for periods of time and pick it up later when that impulse strikes. Many of my early readers chose to read it that way, reading one to three chapters with time between reading sessions. Many changes described herein can take some time to accomplish. Therefore, reading about more and more possible changes for yourself may not be productive if you are already mind-juggling prior possibilities. We only can change a few things about ourselves at a time.

If strong negative feelings develop toward me, the author, then perhaps you are attempting to "shoot the messenger" in hopes of denying the accuracy of the message. I hope that you use the book your way, and at your own pace. If you can discard some ideas (there will likely be parts of this book that you sense are presently wrong for you) without losing others that could be valuable, then you will gain the maximum. I hope to help your growth process with this book, but you ultimately are your own therapist.

The ultimate in self responsibility: Wherever I am unhappy, there is where I need to change myself. Most of us blame others.
